How to talk to your spirit guides/ angels even when YOU DON’T BELIEVE IN THEM

Just think of someone, anyone who’s smarter and wiser than you. Someone you respect and admire. Doesn’t matter if it’s Beyonce or Gandalf, just someone who strikes a mild sense of awe in you, who’s words you would not actually take for granted and are DAMN LEGIT.

Just imagine it in your mind, you don’t have to believe in spirits, or believe in guardian angels.

  1. JUST PROJECT AND THINK OF SOMONE SMARTER AND WISER THAN YOU.
  2. TELL THEM YOUR PROBLEMS.
  3. AND SEE THEM ANSWER YOUR QUESTION AND GIVE YOU ADVICE.

But that’s just me, answering my own problems ?

-YES ISN’T THAT WONDERFUL???

Now, the key idea here is that the way you made your problem is not the way you’re going to be solving it. You’re train of thought can and might probably be in a terrible direction and you need a completely fresh point of view to slap you out of your whirling thoughts of KJASFKSAK!!RE@*#RN@$$ FAFF!!!!R!$ to

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.

So you need an excuse to be, think and act better than your present self, if only for a few moments. Thus you pretend to embody someone who smarter and wiser than you, who had more life experience than you to give you some good advice.

I regularly did this as a kid with my favorite anime characters. I had one that was a war veteran who had the burden of really powerful flame alchemy. He went through severe loss in his life, and regret for the violence and destruction that he participated in. He went through being blind, and ex-communicated by his friends and the military he served in. But even with all of that, he rose up to be a coup leader and sought peace reparations with the very people he once killed.

he was so damn cool.

And I found myself imagining talking to him a lot, visiting him like I was a simple villager in the small town he retired himself in. I’d tell him about my problems, and in the face of what he’s accomplished, they would indeed feel small, and after that I’d have greater resolve or inspiration to tackle my own problems. It didn’t matter how weirdly I got advice, as long as said advice worked.

One time though, almost by accident, I thought of a thought that I almost certainly knew wasn’t my own. I felt supreme calm after the sentence.

“Just take it one step at a time”

It was like all my panic seized and I was dumbfounded, left staring at the ceiling. Like I was sapped of all the energy about panicking about my own future. (Nakatunganga lang ako sa kama, na parang ako walang magawa.) And I knew I didn’t just make that up, that it had come from somewhere else. There was no way I THOUGHT OF THAT, I was in that thundering mess of blegh and where did this sudden peace come fROM!?!?!$?!$?

Fast forward years later and I find out guides can talk to you that way.

And that they could also be in any way shape of form.

My eyes went as wide as saucers.

He- that THAT WAS MY GUIDE. I WAS TALKING TO A GUIDE WITHOUT KNOWING OR BELIEVING IN THEM.

And to be honest, guides are also a part of the larger cosmic you. So yes, you’re still just talking to a wiser version of you, if that line of thinking brings any comfort.

ISN’T THAT COOL??

So yes, keep that healthy skeptism. But it’s still a cool way to get advice.

See yah loves,

Maalia
