The important difference between knowledge and wisdom – and THE REAL POWER of not knowing

I’m not (just) being a stickler for language.

But there’s a difference between knowledge and wisdom and before you read on with what I’m gonna be explaining, I want you to give it a shot. What’s the difference between knowledge and wisdom ? What’s the difference of calling a person ‘knowledgable’ and calling a person ‘wise’ ?

In my experience, this is how I understand it.

Knowledge is just information. Wisdom is a lived experience of that information.

Ever tried describing ice cream to someone who’s never eaten it before ? you can give them information about it, say it’s cold, it’s a dessert typically eaten after meals. It’s made of milk – so it tastes like milk, but it also has different flavors. You know what, there’s not enough words – JUST TRY IT YOU.

That’s what most life exprience is.

It can’t exactly all be put into some rational logical word sentences. It’s just not enough. Life is just too rife of feeling and sensation and life in life in life that some knowing of ICECREAMNESS can only be acheived by a direct experience of it. And the wisdom of say – not eating ice cream too fast lest you get a brainfreeze, is something that becomes more poignant when it speaks of experience.

”NEVER DISRESPECT YOUR PARTNER IN LIFE”

”DON’T BEAT YOURSELF UP FROM YOUR PAST DESCSISIONS”

”GET ADVICE FROM PEOPLE WHO HAVE EARNED YOUR TRUST”

These are the kind of information that are empty when not coupled with the authority of “thy who has gone through the same shit”. Because just the level of sheer empathy and wholeness of said experience.

I would even sometimes call this wisdom ‘a knowing’. Because instead of just memorizing and having some faith on a source that gave a piece of information, you know it to be true. Oh the heart as an energy center is not just a thing in energetic or esoteric texts- I – I FEEL MY HEART pulsate with a force that is of a strength i’ve never felt before. I HAVE A KNOWING OF THIS.

hmph.

Then what’s the point of knowledge ? Why is it the third emanation of the hermetic kaballah if it sounds so inferior?

Good question! And I can only put it this way. Wisdom is the masculine principle of a knowledge lived. But just like every throw has a catch and every inhale has an exhale, the feminine receptive – waiting, principle is the knowledge.

Knowledge is information waiting to be lived.

Knowledge is what sparks the seeking ,the empty to be filled. And with an infinite universe this receptive principle is something we should admit more often: THE ONLY THING I KNOW, IS I DO NOT KNOW.

again.

THE ONLY THING I KNOW, IS I DO NOT KNOW.

I DON’T KNOW THIS IN IT’S ENTIRETY

I HAVE A LIMITED EXPERIENCE.

LOOK AT ALL THIS POTENTIAL FOR EXPANSION.

isn’t that great??

The universe, always seeks to acheive balance and harmony.

It levels large mountains and always fills an empty cup. acknowledge and admit all things beyond you, and the wisdom of experience will flow through you immensely.

i really like the emanations series of angelarium.com … first time I understood the tree of life with the kaballah..
